These relaxed, family-style meals celebrate the day’s bounty and a variety of wines, evoking the extended midday repasts that sustain vineyard workers through harvest.
The tavern tasting harmonizes wine with six small plates, offering a meditative survey that spans our vineyard, vegetable and forest gardens, animals, and community of local growers and partners.

Absolutely, we welcome all ages to Wine Tavern and offer a discounted rate on experiences for those too young to drink alcohol.
It is our deep belief that our wines are best enjoyed alongside food. This tenet is inspired by wine taverns in the European countryside that celebrate the bounty of local farmland, which is why all of our Wine Tavern experiences comprise both food and wine.
Our wine club invites you to actively partake in our essential process. This process is rooted in our ongoing exploration of how the ways we nurture soil.
The Understory is a subscription-based community that supports our endeavors at Hiyu. It provides you with monthly wine releases, discounts, and priority admission to Wine Tavern experiences — as well as access to our cellar and other ephemeral, artistic expressions of life on the farm. Â
